Has anybody out there with an R3 had any problems (or heard or seen any damage) with their swimstep impacting the outdrive exhaust and crushing (bending) the outlet of the exhaust. It also damaged the swimstip by bending it too. Apparently, the stern tilt intermittent switch corroded and did not disengage upon letting go of the switch and the outdrive kept coming up while I was on a sandbar in Michigan and I did not realize it. The R5 and R7 seem to have more clearance and the IO can be raised with the swimstep down without any damage.
