Hi to fellow Cobalt owners! I am looking to treplace the the speakers on my recently aquired 2016 220S holdover. Looks like they were installed by the previous owner(I think not stock), but 1 out of 6 speakers in the stern area looks to be faulty. The wiring connection looks to be fine but, so I believe the problem is in the speaker itself. It is DS18 according to the logo and it says 300W on the back. I managed to find a similar model online but mines don't have the LEDs https://www.boatid.com/ds18/ds18-hy...ith-integrated-rgb-led-lights-3630383436.html My question is should I look for DS18 speakers specifically or should I just use any matching size speaker for replacement? Is it a good brand?
Not familiar with that brand of speakers, so can’t say if they are good or not. Most new Cobalts come with JL or Rockford Fosgate speakers nowI believe.
