I have a 2015 R7 and have had a great experience with it. I am considering upsizing to the R30 (apparently this is the last year of production) or R31. I'm interested in feedback anyone who has considered these two, or has spent time in the R30 (or R31, though it is a new model). In particular, how is the ride quality in rougher water. I have a 2025 R30 on order (scheduled for late March delivery) and like you I was trying to decide between the R30 and R31. I settled on the R30 primarily because I feel like the bugs have been worked out of that model. It’s been in production for quite a while and has a very solid reputation. The R31 is a new hull and one never knows what issues may show up over time. I didn’t want to be the Beta tester. With that said being able to have a side entry door made the R31 very tempting. Good news is that they’re both COBALT’s and so are top quality with painstaking attention to detail.
