New to me Cobalt, 1995 252 with 502 Mag and Bravo 1

All the improvements look really nice. I'm so jealous. The weather here in Southern Louisiana has been unusually cold and I have been just kind of in a holding pattern. I want mine finished and in the water.

 

Daytime temps typically average in the 60s with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s. This has been an unusually cold year. It happens sometimes. In California I was used to long stretches of weather that was pretty stable and consistent. Here it can be cold all week, like the forecast, but then they are calling for 70s next weekend. Weird....

I'm at a point in the boat that I need to get the new carpet in as nothing can move forward without it. This week I am going to work in my garage (heated and cooled) on refinishing the mountain of teak that goes back in the boat then next weekend I will get busy with the wire wheel removing all of the old carpet adhesive. Starting the week of 22nd we are expecting a week of weather in the high 60s which will be warm enough to work with the new carpet adhesive. I have to do both inside hull sides and the floor. Once the carpet is in I can begin putting stuff back in.

My birthday is April 14th and my goal is to be on the water that weekend.

Hope the weather cooperates for you. Right now it's snowing and the temp is going to single digits again tonight. And we are only a few hundred miles north of you.

 

I hate snow. We are supposed to be in the teens overnight for the next few days and then 70s Sat & Sun.

I grew up with Unlimited Hydroplane Racing in Seattle. Its been a few years since I've seen a race. It's about a 6 hour tow for me. Interested?
