My fiancé is from Arkansas, so now and then we make it back and visit. We were back this last weekend to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately, we did not have the boat with us, but that never stops us from a trip out to Beaver Lake. We kicked our feet in the water for a few minutes before we headed home Can't ever get a good family selfie... He's all boy. Spotted two Cobalt's heading under the bridge.
The water is still to high to go under without taking the bimini down. Looks like you had a good time. We will be out this Sunday. Its been a few weeks of hell for the family, so we are looking forward to being out there this weekend.
Sorry to hear it's been rough in your neck of the woods. It was just low enough for that 226 to make it with his arch. He went very slow but it appeared he cleared just fine. I think early next season we are going to bring the '79 down.
Thanks for the concern. Like I always say, this will pass like kidney stones. Hurts now, but it will feel so much better when it is over. We boat all through October. We get many nice weekends where it is not too chilly to see the foliage and watch the sunsets. And ameteur hour is over after Labor Day, so the lake is calm and very few boats out.
I'm with you there. Our plan is to come next year before amateur hour starts. We would try to do one after amateur hour, but we have an annual trip to LOTO end of September. Driving from Emporia, Kansas, the truck uses more fuel to get there than the boat does in the lake! Haha
