I thought I'd post pics of my extended swim platform for those who are considering one. The previous owners added this and its from swimplatforms.com. You can't imagine how much extra real estate an extended platform gives you... can't image not having this.
I have worked with Scot at Swimplatforms, Inc. on several occasions and the quality of their product is unparalleled and is only overshadowed by their Customer Service.
I couldn't agree more. The rubber strap that holds the ladder in place broke a few seasons ago so I emailed them via the website. I got an immediate response and they sent 3 replacements within days. Pretty impressive considering the previous owner purchased and installed the platform on my boat. I've recommended them more times than I can count.
I owned a 2008 Sea Ray 280 Sundancer and I had Flexiteak installed on the platform (same as Plasteak basically). It was great overall but it could get pretty hot in direct sunlight on very hot day. I loved the look and it held up very well for the 4 seasons that I owned it. I plan to add SeaDek to my platform next season. It's not as hot and has some cushion to it.
