I was tired of getting the back of my head smacked every time I went into this cubby on my 262. Got the parts from Cobalt for an R3/5/7 seat, and installed them. Was about $30 total. It took about 30 minutes to install, and all the parts are current Cobalt part #'s, so any replacement in the near future is easy.
I have a couple in our ski locker that need to be replaced - I'm wondering if amazon would have them for less money ?
Possibly. The piston its self was only $9.99 from my local Cobalt dealer. The 2 mounting brackets were about $10 each. My 262 did not have a piston set up at all until I installed this one.
Oooh I want to do this! Thanks for the post. Do you have part numbers or anything that you can share?
The letters are not cheap. I paid the same for mine. I had to do 2 complete sets plus the logos when I had the sides redone on 2016.
I called my local Cobalt dealer. These were for an R Series boat. 310999 bracket 311559 bracket 404384 piston Hope that helps.
